Camp America financial details
Our revised fee structure reflects the changes in camping over the years, and attempts to address the entire spectrum of camp requirements and constraints. It is designed to attract specialists in high demand areas, as well as provide the most value overall.
INCLUDED
IN CAMP AMERICA FEES:
• One way transatlantic transportation.
• Orientation sessions.
• Camp America support throughout the camp season.
• Participants are covered by comprehensive medical
and emergency dental insurance while in the United States.
Participant baggage insurance is optional.
• Additional pocket money for repeat staff – your
most experienced counselors and Campower staff will receive
more pocket money and have more incentive to return to camp.
• J-1 visa sponsorship.
SOCIAL SECURITY AND TAXES
Pocket money for J-1 visa participants is not subject
to social security taxes, however camp America participants
can obtain a social security number at any social security
branch office. We suggest you consult your tax advisor regarding
any other tax related issues.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Fifty percent of the total amount payable is due June 1, and the balance on August 1. Since we make substantial payments for transportation, recruitment and other costs in advance
of staff arrival, we assess a finance charge of 1.5% per month for late payments after September 1.
FUEL SURCHARGES
The fees listed reflect contractual fare arrangements with airlines as of October 2006. In the current environment of volatile fuel prices, airlines have reserved the right to periodically
charge for fuel cost increases, which may in turn be passed along to camps.
